Our porthole necklace features an original canal-inspired hand-painted design on a multi-layered wood aperture. Nestled within is a thick glasses lens, upcycled from local industry. We have collected many of these, and each one has a slightly different magnification effect making each necklace unique!

The porthole necklace is a perfect gift for lovers of canal adventures, anyone with a fondness for the traditional beauty of hand-painted canal livery, but especially for those who like to go on scavenger hunts and need a beautiful portable magnifying glass!

Growing up in the Black Country, and working from our studio in Birmingham, we've developed a deep love for canal boats and their hand-painted livery artwork which has now filtered into a new range we've simply called 'Black Country'. Birmingham IS said to have 'more canals than Venice' after all!

Porthole Necklace diameter is 8cm, and 1.8cm thick on a 30" bright blue rope with silver-plated t-bar fastening.
